EMDR Therapy for Borderline Personality Disorder, Dissocation & Complex Trauma

Approved for 6 EMDRIA Credits

Dr. Ross will review the definition of dissociation and the difference between psychoform and somatoform dissociation. He will spend time on dissociative identity disorder; how to diagnose and treat it and the relationship between DID and PTSD. He will them place BPD within a modified version of the theory of structural dissociation - this formulation leads naturally to treating DID within EMDR and with the Adaptive Information Processing model. Dr. Ross will provide an explanation of his Trauma Model Therapy. The principles of his model can be most helpful in EMDR therapy of BPD, prior to desensitization work. He will finish the day with case example of treatment techniques and an opportunity for questions and discussion.
