Somatic Psychotherapies & EMDR: Using The Wisdom of The Body To Heal Trauma

Approved for 1.5 EMDRIA Credits

Somatic psychology is an interdisciplinary field involving the study of the body, somatic experience, and the embodied self, including therapeutic and holistic approaches to body experience and psyche. Body-centered therapeutic practices honor the innate wisdom of the body to move toward wholeness when injury is release from the body. This presentation will address the history and therapeutic practices of somatic psychotherapies and the use of somatically-oriented interweaves with EMDR.
