Working with Complex Trauma & Dissociation in EMDR

Approved for 7 EMDRIA Credits

This one day workshop will teach practical strategies to work with clients with complex trauma and dissociative parts. The day will start with teaching Fraser's Dissociative Table Technique and how to incorporate it into the EMDR Standard Protocol. Case examples and video clips will be used to demonstrate the power of this technique to identify and work with emotional parts of the personality throughout treatment. This will be followed by teaching specific skills to work with these parts to reduce the dissociative phobias in preparation for the reprocessing phase. Then specifics on how to titrate the reprocessing to keep the client inside the window of tolerance will be discussed.
